Van Helsing is ... over the top.
Although visually stunning, and theoretically interesting, the action of the characters was just too unbelievable for me to really enjoy the story. Although I did enjoy how the movie made the creature of Dr. Frankenstien a "goodie" (and almost too cuddly), both Van Helsing and Dracula seemed to lack, I don't know, the killer instinct, for lack of an enriched vocabulary. It just seemed that the creators of the movie played too many video games growing up, and thus expected their characters to survive the impossible.
